Tileguard® High Build Sealer

Tileguard® High Build Sealer is a high solids 100% acrylic water-based coating designed to seal and level aged, pitted cement roof tiles before top coating. 

It fills severe pit holes and creates a smooth surface for top coats, resulting in a superior finish on damaged surfaces.

PRO TIP:

Use a slightly larger spray tip (5/21) for severely pitted surfaces to prevent clogging. Apply two thin coats rather than one heavy coat for optimal filling.

  • Application method: Airless spray recommended
  • Coverage: Approximately 70 m² per 20L pail (varies by surface porosity)
  • Dry time: Allow 2 hours before applying next coat
  • Suitable surfaces: Very porous, aged and pitted cement roof tiles
  • Temperature range: Not recommended below 14°C or above 32°C
  • Composition: High solids water-based 100% acrylic polymer
  • Clean up: Water
  • Container size: 20L pails
  1. Ensure thorough cleaning with high-pressure washing and complete drying.
  2. If tiles retain colour, first apply Tileguard® Maxi Prime.
  3. Check surface temperature – if it’s too hot to touch, it’s too hot to paint.
  4. Apply using a larger spray tip (5/21 recommended) at approximately 70 m² per 20L pail.
  5. Allow 2 hours drying time before applying top coats.

Non-hazardous in dry film form and suitable for drinking water collection (disconnect downpipes for two good rainfalls before reconnecting). Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
